In Venice, this ground-up custom home was designed as a study in restraint — smooth plaster geometry balanced with warmth and openness.

From the street, the façade reads as composed and private. Minimal openings, integrated lighting, and layered landscaping soften the monolithic exterior without disrupting its clarity. A recessed wood entry introduces warmth against the cool plaster finish.

Inside, the home opens completely. Full-width sliding glass walls dissolve the boundary between the dining space, kitchen, and backyard, allowing the pool and lawn to become part of the main level experience.

Wide-plank oak flooring grounds the open plan, while a sculptural kitchen island anchors the space at its center. Matte cabinetry, integrated appliances, and statement pendant lighting reinforce the minimalist language without feeling cold. A floating wood staircase with black steel detailing draws vertical movement through the home, becoming both structure and feature.

Upstairs, the private spaces maintain the same discipline clean lines, balanced proportions, and carefully controlled natural light.
