HANCOCK PARK
HUDSON IN HANCOCK PARK
A character-rich Tudor remodel where old-world architecture meets bold, considered design.
In Hancock Park, this full home remodel began with one of the neighborhood’s defining architectural styles a classic English Tudor and the intention to preserve its character while allowing the interiors to evolve.
From the street, the home retains its quiet presence. The original stucco façade, steep gabled rooflines, and arched entry were carefully restored, while mature landscaping and a broad lawn reinforce the sense of permanence typical of Hancock Park homes.
Inside, the tone shifts from traditional to tailored. The kitchen anchors the main level with matte black cabinetry, Calacatta marble counters and backsplash, and brushed brass hardware. A professional-grade range and custom hood introduce scale, while globe pendants cast warm light over a large island designed for gathering.
Original architectural details remain throughout arched openings, crown molding, and balanced proportions allowing the historic structure to guide the flow of the home. A navy grasscloth-wrapped family room adds depth and contrast, opening through French doors to the garden beyond.
Upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms were rebuilt with the same balance of classic and contemporary materials, combining marble, porcelain, and polished metal finishes.
In Hancock Park, where historic homes define the neighborhood, the most successful remodels respect the past while quietly refining how the house lives today.
